Somalia proposes agricultural investments in Egypt

(Medeshi)- Al-Masry Al-Youm
The Somali livestock and fisheries ministries have proposed an investment cooperation plan with Egypt by developing Somalia's agricultural sector and cultivating 21 million acres, as well as establishing a fishing company that targets the export of fish and other products to Egypt.

The proposal came on the sidelines of a meeting between Egyptian Agriculture Minister Salah Helal and the Somali ministers on Saturday, where representatives of the private sector and the African association of cattle importers were also in attendance.

Meanwhile, the attendees agreed to establish an Egyptian-Somali business council to encourage investments between the two countries in different fields.
