Japan donates 56 vehicles to the Somali police

The military attaché  of the Japanese government handed over today 56 vehicle to the Somali government  to be used by the police forces in the country.


(Medeshi)-  The military attaché  of the Japanese government handed over today 56 vehicle to the Somali government  to be used by the police forces in the country.
The handover took place during a reception at Mogadishu airport. The commander of Somali police force emphasised the importance of these equipment to the security in Somalia.
“ We thank the government of japan for their continuous support to the Somali police forces. The government of Japan had on many occasions donated vehicles to the Somali police and we expect to receive police uniforms from them soon” the commander said.
The military attaché at the embassy of Japan in Somalia , Mr Tomohiro Tommatsu  said the vehicles are intended for the Somali police. “We have donated these vehicles for the Somali police to serve the communities and we are very happy to handover these vehicles to the Somali police today” Mr. Tommatsu said.
The minister of Interior Affairs of Somalia, Mr Abdirazak Omar Mohamed also thanked the Japanese government for the donation of vehicles to the Somali police.
