Ship & Bunker - Djibouti-based bunkering services company Red Sea Bunkering (RSB) Wednesday announced in an emailed press release that it is expanding its operations in the region.
From November 1, 2015 RSB says it will be offering offshore bunkering via a double hull 9,300 DWT vessel that has a pumping rate of 300-500 cm/hr, and can bunker two products simultaneously.
Offshore bunkering will be offered at both inner and outer anchorage.
The new service comes in addition to its onshore road tank wagon (RTW) service to all Djibouti Ports, and an ex-pipeline service at the Horizon Terminal Jetty, both of which began in July this year.
RSB says that for onshore bunkering it can supply DMA grade MGO, while offshore it will supply DMA and RMG 380.
The supplier will also be expanding its offshore products range to include Low sulfur DMA by December 2015, and RME 180 will be available after December 2015.
All fuels are sold as per ISO 8217:2005 specification.
In May Ship & Bunker reported that Djibouti said it is aiming to become a key port, akin to Dubai or Singapore, and a commercial hub of eastern Africa.
