London- Hamdi Juimala beaten to death by two ladies

Two young women have been jailed for beating another woman to death in a north London flat.

Hamdi Jiumala, 27, was attacked by 21-year-old’s Kinse Aidid and Magdalena Agathine after an argument at the flat in Gainsborough House, Enfield.

Agathine then phoned a man to tell him she and Aidid had beaten Ms Jiumala “pretty badly”. She put the call on loudspeaker so Aidid could hear.

Ms Jiumala's naked body was found lying in a bedroom at the flat on September 17 last year, after she died as a result of blows to the head and body.

It is believed Ms Jiumala, of no fixed address, was killed at some point over the course of the previous night.

Aidid was jailed for life for murder – with a minimum of 15 years – and Agathine was locked up for nine years for manslaughter at the Old Bailey on Friday.

Police said the three women had first arrived at the flat four days before the victim’s body was found.

“At some point after their arrival they became involved in an argument,” police said.

Neighbours had witnessed Aidid beating Ms Jiumala outside the flat on the evening before she was killed.

Detective Chief Inspector David Whellams, of the Met’s Homicide and Major Crime Command, said: “Hamdi Jiumala suffered a violent death at the hands of Aidid and Agathine who consistently lied about the events of that night and failed to take responsibility for their actions.”

Aidid, of Denbigh Road, East Ham, and Agathine, of no fixed address, were both found guilty follow a trial at the Old Bailey.

A murder charge against Walid Ibrahim, 34, of Church Street, was dismissed.
