Man 'Sets Himself On Fire' At Rome Airport

(Medeshi)- Fuimicino Airport in Rome was evacuated after a man set himself on fire in a police customs office. Passengers in terminal three at the airport, to the west of the Italian capital, were evacuated at around 10.40am local time. An 18-year-old man from the Ivory Coast has been taken to hospital in a serious condition. A policeman who put out the flames also sustained a burn to his arm. Police said the man doused himself with fuel and set fire to himself with a lighter in a customs police office after showing officials a deportation order. Read More at  Sky 

Drones: Medal Created For Remote 'Warriors'

(Medeshi)- The Pentagon has unveiled a new medal to honour "extraordinary" troops who launch cyber attacks or drone strikes, even if they do not risk their lives in combat.
Announcing the new 'Distinguished Warfare Medal', defence secretary Leon Panetta said it was time to recognise those who play a crucial role in modern warfare with hi-tech weapons far from the frontline.

The few Westerners who venture to a city brutalised by civil wars do so in the knowledge that on arrival there will be a bounty on their heads and movement will only be possible under the close protection of armed guards.
