The wreck comes just eight days after a migrant-boat disaster near the Sicilian island of Lampedusa in which as many as 363 people, mostly Eritrean and Somali, may have died.

Signed agreement : Somalia to manage Somaliland's share of (ICAO) funds

Medeshi) - Somalia signed an agreement on September 30  with  the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO)  to release millions of dollars of the trust  fund to the government of Somalia. In the agreement, Somalia will determine the distribution of the money to the regions of the country which  include Somaliland as shown in item 9 of the agreement

(Medeshi) - US special forces have failed in an attempt to kill a senior leader of al-Shabaab, the Somali Islamist group, in response to the deadly attack on a Nairobi shopping mall two weeks ago.
A US Navy Seal team attacked the leader, named by a Somali intelligence official as Mukhtar Abu Zubeyr, at his seaside villa in the Somali town of Baraawe, south of the capital Mogadishu, in a pre-dawn, sea-launched attack yesterday.
