Westlondon : Somali Woman caught selling banned Khat drug at Church Road

 London - A Somali woman was caught yesterday selling banned substance after police raided her business. Witnesses told Medeshi that huge amount of dried leafs of Khat drug was found in a restaurant at Church road, in Harlesden. The restaurant offers Halal food and fruits in the menu shown on the sign board while illegal khat was being sold inside.

Somali pirate says $1.6M ransom paid for Michael Scott Moore

 (AP)-MOGADISHU, Somalia –  Negotiators paid a $1.6 million ransom for the release of a German-American journalist who was kidnapped in Somalia and held for two years and eight months, a commander of pirates who held him said Wednesday. Michael Scott Moore was "doing well" and receiving medical care, Germany's Foreign Ministry said.

 (CPJ)- Cape Town, September 23, 2014--The Committee to Protect Journalists welcomes the release of German-American journalist Michael Scott Moore, who was kidnapped by Somali pirates in the city of Galkayo in January 2012. Moore's abduction was not previously reported by most media outlets at the request of those seeking his release.
